HR Partners

HR partners give you the ability to provide a limited set of HR Admin functionality to selected individuals for a sub-set of the organisation. For instance, you may have an HR Partner for a particular department and you want them to look after that department from a PerformanceHub point of view, but not have access to employee date for employees not in that department.

You can choose to give HR Partners User Edit rights, or just allow them to manage reports. This is set in the configuration screens. When a partner has User Edit rights, they can edit user details and add new employees, but only for the zone they are responsible for. They will be able to see that other users exist in the system, but not edit their details.

Quick Summary:

  1. You can divide your employees into a number of HR Zones. Every employee will be in exactly one zone.

  2. Each zone can have one or more HR Partners assigned to it.

  3. An HR Partner can be assigned to more than one zone.

  4. When HR Partners access HR functions they’ll only be able to see data for employees who are in their assigned zone(s).

  5. HR Partners can't view or modify PerformanceHub settings.

  6. Employees with HR admin rights will be able to modify PerformanceHub settings, and will still be able to see data for all employees (filtering on HR Zone, should they wish to).

  7. Most HR-related dashboard notifications will be displayed to HR Partners, but only for employees in their zone(s).

  8. HR Partners will receive notifications about users in their zone (e.g. Too many log in attempts by a user)

  9. HR Admin users will still get notifications relating to the entire company.

  10. HR Partners cannot mark the balancing process as complete.

To get started;

  1. First enable HR Partners in the Configuration screens.

  2. Next, give your HR Partners, HR Partner rights. To do this, go to the Users tab, find the person you want to make an HR Partner, edit their details and tick the HR Partner flag.

  3. Once you have some partners, you then want to create some zones. Go to the Configuration tab and from there click on Zones in the main menu.

  4. You may want to create a zone for a department or location, it's up to you.

  5. Once you have create some zones, you can make partners responsible for the them by ticking their name. You can make multiple HR Partners responsible for a zone and a partner can manage multiple zones.

  6. Now you want to add employees to the zones you just created

  7. Go to the Users tab and then edit the 'head of the zone' e.g. the manager(s) who are at the top of the zone organisationally.

  8. You can assign a zone to that user and PerformanceHub will ask you how you want to apply it (to just that person or to them and everyone below them)

  9. Now, when a partner logs in, they will have access to the people in the zone you just made them responsible for.
